Description:

'Wanderer above the Sea of Fog' - Caspar David Friedrich

A lone lingered soul reappears after years,
Blurred is his face and his name,

He yearns for each day to have a new and different sun,
Drawn like a moth to a flame,

Carried as a leaf I have flown,
Into depths of great height I was thrown,
To drift where one does not know,
Is to go where the wind blows,

Help me please, oh somebody help me please,
I don't know where I am,
I've been blown, to this barren plain that I roam,
I hope the wind sends me back, send me back, send me back home,

A lone lingered soul reappears after years,
What wayfaring tales does he bring?

I need to see what awaits beyond those hills,
So I'll brush the dust from my wings,

Behind me I'll forever lock the door,
And curl my toes to grip this foreign floor,
The gulf between myself and my native shore,
Continues to grow evermore,

Help me please, oh somebody help me please,
I don't know who I am,
I've been blown, to this barren plain I roam,
I hope the wind sends me back, send me back, send me back home,

A lone lingered soul reappears after years,
On each passing quest he looks less like me,
